Street Closures for Mayor's Hike, Bike, and Paddle

Sunday, September 4th, 2023 | 10 AM - 2 PM

The Louisville Mayor's Hike, Bike, and Paddle is an annual event that promotes healthy living and showcases the city's beautiful parks and waterways. The event features a 5K run/walk, a bike ride, and a paddleboarding race. To accommodate the event several roads will be closed on Labor Day, Sunday, September 4th, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The following roads will be closed during the event:

  • Belvedere Avenue from River Road to Zorn Avenue
  • River Road from Zorn Avenue to Beargrass Creek
  • Beargrass Creek Park from River Road to the Big Four Bridge
  • Big Four Bridge from Beargrass Creek Park to Waterfront Park
  • Waterfront Park from the Big Four Bridge to 3rd Street

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes around the closed roads. The Louisville Metro Police Department will be on site to direct traffic and ensure the safety of participants and spectators.

Event Details

The Mayor's Hike, Bike, and Paddle is free and open to the public. The 5K run/walk will begin at 10 AM at Waterfront Park. The bike ride will begin at 11 AM at Beargrass Creek Park. The paddleboarding race will begin at 1 PM at Waterfront Park.

Participants can register for the event online or on the day of the event. More information about the event can be found on the Louisville Metro website.
