Senzatela Strong in Return, Blasts Two Homers
Antonio Senzatela’s return from Tommy John surgery was certainly a bright spot for the Colorado Rockies in their 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. Senzatela pitched five innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out five. He also helped his own cause at the plate, blasting two home runs off Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly.
Rockies Offense Struggles, But Defense Comes Up Big
The Rockies offense struggled for most of the game, managing just six hits against Kelly and the Diamondbacks bullpen. However, they were able to scratch across three runs, including the winning run in the ninth inning on a throwing error by Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo.
