HBO's highly anticipated prequel series, House of the Dragon, is returning for its second season, and fans won't have to wait much longer. The series, which follows the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, will premiere its second season in mid-June.
Shorter Season, Bigger Impact
Unlike its first season, which featured 10 episodes, Season 2 of House of the Dragon will have a shorter run with only eight episodes. However, despite the reduced episode count, the season promises to be just as epic and captivating as its predecessor. The shorter season length will allow the showrunners to focus on delivering a concise and impactful story.
The second season of House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO on June 16, 2023, at 9 PM EST. The first season is currently available to stream on HBO Max.
